The health, safety, and wellness of students is a top priority—and Milton students receive thoughtful and comprehensive care from the experienced medical professionals at the school’s Health Center.
The team takes an integrated approach to caring for the whole child, working with the staff of the Counseling Center, athletic trainers, dorm staff, and advisors to support students’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Led by Melissa Nass, M.D. ’95, P’26 ’29, the Faulkner Health Center offers services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Registered nurses are trained to treat or triage all levels of students’ health needs, and physicians provide direct patient care to boarding students Monday through Friday as needed. Physicians from Boston Children’s Hospital are available for on-call concerns on nights and weekends and whenever the medical director is not immediately available.
Health services are offered at the Faulkner Health Center, located at 348 Centre St. on the school’s East Campus. In addition, nurses are available on school days in the Art and Media Center and the Junior Building to care for students in the Middle and Lower Schools, respectively.

About the Faulkner Health Center
Available to boarding students around the clock—and to day students when they’re on campus—the Faulkner Health Center is located on the school’s East Campus. The building has undergone recent renovations to allow the expansion of services, including overnight rooms with private bathrooms to house boarding students who need to isolate when they are ill. Faulkner also has a wellness room equipped with a stationary bike, yoga equipment, and other exercise equipment; and a mindfulness room where students can take a break and de-stress in a quiet environment.
