Student Mental Health & Wellness
At Milton Academy, we believe that mental health is foundational to a student’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive. The Counseling Center provides a welcoming, confidential space where students can seek guidance, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to navigate both everyday challenges and more complex concerns.
A Supportive Space for
STUDENT WELL-BEING
Located at 313 Randolph Ave., the Counseling Center is open every school day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for scheduled appointments, with on-call counseling support available after hours. Students may refer themselves or be referred by a teacher, advisor, or parent, ensuring that care is both accessible and responsive to individual needs.
Integrated Counseling Support Across Campus Life
Milton’s counselors are deeply integrated into the life of the school. In addition to meeting with students individually, they advise, collaborate with student groups, and partner closely with faculty, advisors, residential staff, and families to support each student’s overall well-being.

Experienced Counseling Staff & Collaborative Care
The Counseling Center is staffed by four full-time, licensed, master’s-level clinicians who bring extensive experience and a collaborative approach to their work. The team partners closely with the Health Center and school community to provide thoughtful, coordinated care for Upper School students.
In addition, Dr. Kaizad Munshi, a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist from Children’s Hospital Boston, regularly consults with the Counseling Center and is available for on-campus appointments.
Building Lifelong Mental Health Skills
Through this comprehensive, community-centered approach, Milton’s Counseling Center helps students strengthen self-awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and prioritize their mental and emotional wellness—skills that will serve them well far beyond their time at Milton.
